Mid-City is favored by many Los Angeles locals and tourists alike because of its unique feel. The area, despite its location literally in the center of one of the United States’ most populated cities, provides greenery not seen frequently around central LA. The area also has a more residential feel, yet is home to ample shopping, dining, and museums. It houses the La Brea Tar Pits, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Original Farmers Market, and so much more. The Grove Los Angeles is a famous Mid-City hub with entertainment for everyone and it frequently hosts events that draw in crowds of all sorts. On Saturday, June 29, the 4th Annual Summer Food Festival will be held at the Grove and it will be an extravagant affair not to miss!
The event will preface LA’s staple event this July, Restaurant Week, during which restaurants all over the city offer special menus at discounted prices designed to encourage foodies to try out all sorts of new food and diversify their dining experiences. Many restaurants at the Grove will participate in the Food Festival, offering samples and taste tests for all. Many chefs will be present on a central main stage as well, both local and celebrity, cooking and showing off their skills. From 2:30 to 4:30, there will be a Tasting Hour where attendees can try some great dishes from The Grove restaurants. Besides food, there will be other entertainment and even some contests and giveaways! Check out the event page for more information.
All special events aside, the Grove Los Angeles is a great place to spend the day if you’re staying in hotels near the Grove in LA. The central area inside the mall is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the live music, beautiful scenery, or other entertainment usually occurring. There is ample shopping – everything from Nordstrom, to Barnes & Noble, Top Shop, and more. The dining options there are plentiful and luckily the Farmers Market right next door has a huge variety as well. Don’t forget about the beautiful movie theater – complete with reserved seating! The Grove is mainly outdoors and is a great way to soak up some SoCal sun while remaining entertained all day long!
