It’s that time of year again where the most talented culinary chefs come together to showcase their best cuisines. The Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival returns this coming August for three days with more surprises and new culinary delights. Before attending this event, make sure to save your appetite as you will be indulging in the most delicious ethnic foods and cuisines. More than a dozen world-class celebrity chefs along with hundreds of internationally acclaimed wineries will be eager to impress event goers with their savory dishes and unique food creations. Guests will enjoy exclusive access to some off the menu foods, special recipes, cooking demos, and wine seminars. Not to mention there will be some amazing entertainment and charity auction to keep the night interesting and fun. Each day will host different event themes that will sure to satisfy your particular cravings. The event goes on for three days starting on Thursday, August 22 through Saturday, August 24. If you’re a local Angeleno or tourist staying at a hotel near Beverly Hills then make sure to attend at least one of these themed events:
Festa Italiana- Thursday, August 22
Enjoy a taste of Italy at the Festa Italian event. At this event, Italian food lovers will get to sample some authentic Italian food including a variety of pastas and specialty cocktails. Attendees will get a chance to meet the famous television personality and talented chef, Giada De Laurentiis. The whole night will be dedicated to Italian food and culture. Along with the host, Giada, other notable chefs will be joining in on the festivities including Scott Conant, SPQR’s Matthew Accarrino, and the famous Celestino Drago.
Asian Night Market- Friday, August 23
Get a taste of some authentic Asian food during the Asian Night Market event. Hosted by the “Iron Chef” himself, Morimoto, the Asian Night Market will be offering the finest Asian food in the city. There will be over 30 restaurants promoting their famous dishes. Many of these participating restaurants are mom-and-pop neighborhood restaurants in Los Angeles. By attending this event, you will be doing your part in helping support these local eateries. A few of the local chefs appearing at this event include David Myers, Ricardo Zarate, and David Lefevre.
Live on the Avenue- Saturday, August 24
Saving the best for last, the Live on the Avenue event brings guests the ultimate show. Not only will you get to sample some amazing foods but you will be entertained throughout the whole night. Cooking sessions and demos will be accompanied with some live music and other great entertainment. Stay awhile and meet the culinary extraordinaire, Grant Achatz and Rick Bayless. Hosting the event is Top Chef Masters’ host Curtis Stone. Don’t miss out on the two grand tastings that will feature 30 chefs and over 300 wines.
